I just had my reception at Oliva and I really cannot put into words how fantastic everything was.  Our guests couldn't stop talking about how interesting and original the space was.  Catering St. Louis, that owns Oliva, is also amazing.  The owner, Mark, was at our tasting and even came to the first half of our reception!  He personally made sure we were pleased with everything, worked with us to make it as affordable as possible, and truly loves his business.  Our coordinator, Sandy, was a joy to work with and was always quick to answer questions and helped us down to every last detail.  The food was PHENOMENAL.  Everything, from the cocktail hour appetizers to the plated dinner was so delicious...everyone ate too much!  The space is really warm, inviting, cozy, and just truly unique.  The fire pit and heat lamps were going, so even in November we were able to hang outside in the patio area where we had hot apple cider and hot chocolate.  I just can't say enough good things about Oliva and Catering St. Louis.  If you want a unique and intimate wedding reception, this is the place for you!

An intimate and absolutely beautiful venue - The French, rustic feel of the venue with the exposed brick and beautiful wood made it the perfect setting for our wedding, dinner and rehearsal.  The venue is small and intimate.  Small touches like the fire on the patio with the blankets and the comfy furniture in the bar area just made the night.  Our guests can't stop talking about this new and absolutely perfect venue.

Thank you again for an amazing night Lisa.  The cheese and fruit platters were works of art.  Every single slab of root-wood was different from the next, generously portioned...arranged beautifully...looked random and hand crafted.  Perfect in every way.  The short ribs were piping hot...a huge homey-hit that surprised everyone...and was so enjoyed.  I watched people's eyes pop when the platters and bowls of that beautiful steaming beef landed at each table.  I could see the steam rising from the ribs, delivering the rich, full aroma of the braise to every nose within ten feet.  And the airline chicken breast were perfect and plentiful.  The creamy sage accompaniment could not have been more perfect and light.  Amazing and delicious.  Your staff blew folks away with their attention to every detail; the uniqueness of the set-up and their accommodating, unhurried execution of the overall experience that was so enjoyed by all.  Thanks again for your patience as we progressed through the process.  Thank you and Mark and all of your staff for all of the effort and oversight that combined in making the night so memorable for us and all of our guests.  Home Run!!!

Dear Leasa, first of all, thank you for stopping by the night of the party and checking in on things.  You knew when you connected me with Rhonda W. that everything would be perfect and it was!  The Sewalls were incredibly happy with the event and I think it's a memory that they will both have forever.  Everything could not have been more beautiful from every aspect.  The room looked amazing and the food was outstanding.  Jim really did a beautiful job executing everything we had talked about with regard to the menu, and the Pimm's Cup was a huge hit with guests.  Dede was a fantastic captain and allowed me to both be in charge and also enjoy being a guest at the party.  Rhonda helped me create a very special private moment in a section of the garden for the Sewalls with a bottle of champagne and a beautiful long stemmed rose.  Seems like a small thing, but to them it was precious.  It all began with you Leasa!  Our timing in getting the Spink Pavilion at the last minute was fate working its magic and I have you to thank for that!   It was a magical evening and I would welcome the pleasure of doing business with you and everyone mentioned in this message again.  Having been in Catering and Convention Services for most of my career, I had high expectations from Catering St. Louis, and I must say that all of them were met with the utmost professionalism from the entire staff!  I would highly recommend Catering St. Louis to anyone searching for a top notch event.

Dear Ann, Bart and I wanted to let you know what a lovely time our friends and family had at the Whittemore House for our 25th anniversary celebration.  You really thought of all the arrangements we needed to discuss in advance, and it made it so easy to plan our event.  The diagram you sent was especially helpful in preparing the centerpieces when we were working with the florist.  Art was so gracious and helpful the day before - and remembered all sorts of small details, like the holder for the cupcake menu!  Lisa D. and her team were incredibly helpful - and nice.  Several people commented to us that the service was attentive, but not intrusive.  The food got raves all around.  All throughout the night Lisa just kept solving little problems - from finding a new candle for a lopsided frozen centerpiece to rounding up a band aid for our little niece when she cut her toe.  When it was all over her team had all of our things packed up in record time and helped us carry them to the car.  As I mentioned, we had our wedding reception at the Whittemore House in 1986 and it was very sentimental for us to return to renew our vows.  We just wanted to thank you and your team for making our silver anniversary equally memorable, beautiful and fun!

Hi Ann, the party was great.  Staff, food, facility, valet, everything was just perfect.  We worked with Lisa D. that night.  She was wonderful.  Everyone loved the Whittemore House.  It was the perfect place to bring back memories of many of our childhoods, and we just had a wonderful time.

Dear Ann C., I wanted to let you know how much I and my family appreciated all of your efforts in making my mother’s 80^th birthday party a huge success.  We are still basking in the glow of the magical evening and looking forward to re-living it when the videotape of the event is completed.  We have received so many wonderful compliments on the venue, the staff and the food; everyone was so impressed with the charm of the Whittemore House and at the quality of care and service that was offered.  One of my friends continues to exclaim about the tastiness of the chicken and the fact that she was offered a choice of beverage with her dinner that wasn’t the standard ice tea or water that she’s accustomed to when she attends parties in hotels or banquet halls.  I wanted to thank you personally for your friendly, calm manner during the planning stage and for your thoughtful suggestions on how to make the party enjoyable for all.  On behalf of my mother and the rest of my family, thank you for the work you and your staff did to help make the party one of the most  memorable and fun celebrations in  the history of our family!
